Hawkesbury River

Architect: Reyners Construction

Type: Residential

Year: 2005

Suburb: Hawkesbury River

This project was a huge challenge for all on site as it was located along the Hawkesbury River on a mountain side with no road access for delivery. It was also completed during the middle of winter.

This custom package included a wall unit, window seats, wardrobes, vanities and desk.

Due to its location and the difficulty accessing it, each unit had to be prepared and built, disassembled, transported up river in a boat, unloaded, carried up the mountain and then re-assembled again.

The wall unit and window seat featured specially laid up blackbutt veneer and so great care was required in its delivery. Even under such difficult conditions, at one point requiring 6 men to lift the wall unit into position, not a single piece was damaged.
