Lippmann House

Architect: Ed Lippmann
Type: Residential
Year: 1999
Suburb: Vaucluse
Lippmann House, which won 2000 Belle magazine House of the Year, featured metallic silver polyurethane doors with stainless steel benches, appliances, integrated fridge & concealed laundry.
The kitchen cupboards are suspended off the floor with LED lighting underneath. This design was innovative and ahead of its time in 1999.
The island bar has wheels beneath it, enabling it to be detached and moved through the stackable glass doors and into the courtyard for entertaining.
In line with Lippmann's & Bellwood's attention to detail, all floor and top cupboard doors line up precisely with joins in the plywood floor. The soundproof plywood ceiling supported acoustics.
The central curved shaped room shown in one of the pictures to your right was lined with Macassar Ebony on its exterior; inside this room is a shower and bathroom.
