Richardson House

Architect: Ed Lippmann
Type: Residential
Year: 2003
Location: Mosman
One of the largest and most detailed jobs Bellwood have undertaken encompasses desks, wardrobes, vanities, wall units, beds and of course kitchens over three levels of this Mosman home designed by Ed Lippmann.
The virtually commercial kitchen is worthy of note, a lot of time went into it, and as it takes up the living area, it had to be designed to be deserving.
As with the rest of the house, the attention to detail is extraordinary; mitered corners at the edge of the cupboards conceal the thickness of the material, slabs of Indian marble have been matched. Unique soft metallic polyurethane finish was used on all doors. All edges around the kitchen were required to be mitered and the rear of the island bar was solid stainless steel.
Stainless steel was also used extensively throughout the house with the playroom kitchen having stainless steel doors, benches and splash backs.
Kickboards under wardrobes in each bedroom / study and kitchen had aluminium vents acting as air conditioning ducts incorporated into them, shown in the images to your right.
Over 60 sheets of specially selected wenge veneer were used to customise the joinery throughout the house to humanise the design and create a sense of warmth.
